Trampoline

& Tumbling

The Tramp and Tumble program at roots provides a broad base of skills students can use to pursue further goals in gymnastics and virtually every other activity in which aerial awareness and coordination are a priority. By utilizing multiple kinds of trampolines and floor spaces students will gain the skills required to improve their tumbling and trampoline skills.

In level one students are introduced to the basic concepts of trampoline and tumbling. In level one we learn forward and backward rolls, hand stands, cartwheels, and beginning round offs. On trampolines students will learn how to fall safely, perform stomach and back drops, full twists, tuck, straddle, and pike; and begin to work on front flips. These skills are learned as students use a variety of trampolines and surfaces including the tumble track, competition trampolines, and rod floor. A variety of mats, barrels, and occasional use of a foam pit ensures students can progress safely and confidently.

The goal of level two is to get students feeling confident and proficient at a variety of trampoline and floor skills.
